Mission Statement

Getting kids off Screens and biking through Trees
Pacific Mountain Biking is a youth bike skills program founded by lifelong friends, riders, and outdoor enthusiasts in the Seattle area in 2020: at a time when the world was indoors, disconnected, and overloaded by screens.  Now based in San Diego, we’re proud to offer high quality classes and camps across the region’s trail systems.
Our small group sizes of 5:1 reflect our commitment to developing strong riders by ensuring each student receives personalized attention and immediate care during their classes.

Who We Are

Our goal is simple: help the next generation build confidence, resilience and real-world connection through nature’s greatest classroom: the trail.  At Pacific MTB, we believe mountain biking is more than just a sport: it’s a pathway to growth. That’s why our programs inspire perseverance, encourage skill building and promote face-to-face connection in an increasingly digital world.
Our leadership team consists of UC San Diego graduates with backgrounds in nanoengineering, biochemistry, economics and professional management consulting.  With this, our team brings structure, safety and energy to every ride. Whether your child is just starting or leveling up, we’re here to coach, guide and cheer them on.

Hey all! I’m Daniel; nature lover and founder of Pacific MTB. I grew up riding the trails of the greater Seattle area where my love for the outdoors was shaped by countless hours on two wheels.  After moving to San Diego in 2019, this connection only deepened with the new terrain.

With years of youth coaching experience and a background in biochemistry, nanoengineering & management consulting, Pacific MTB is a combination of a love for mountain biking & teaching with a structural focus geared towards safety, growth and strong communication.

Mountain biking teaches more than just technical skills: it teaches resilience, adaptability, perseverance and confidence.  I created Pacific MTB to help young riders overcome challenges, push past their limits and discover their true potential through real world interactions. Nothing beats sharing the joy of riding and exploring nature with the next generation in an increasingly digital world.

Let’s ride, shred on!
